The Open Source AI Summit explores an alternative ecosystem rooted in independence and decentralization, where individuals are empowered to build, run, and own their own intelligence.

For 1.5 days, builders, researchers, and others deeply engaged in open source AI will discuss the technologies and ideas shaping that future, from open models and privacy-preserving infrastructure to confidential computing and digital rights.

The Open Source AI Stack

Open source AI is often discussed in terms of open models, but they're really just one part of the stack. Hardware, data, infrastructure, and protocols are equally important in determining how AI systems are built, controlled, and interacted with.

Local AI and Decentralization

Running a model locally is a step toward AI independence. Decentralized inference, confidential compute, and open payment rails all help reduce reliance on centralized control for both individuals and agents.

Power, Ethics, and Philosophy

If intelligence becomes a global commodity, what follows? We'll examine the social, political, and philosophical questions emerging alongside advances in AI. These include concentrations of power, individual rights, surveillance, and equitable access to intelligence.
